MASTER MINDSET | LIVE FOR TODAY!
Welcome to another episode of more or less podcast. He gave you inspiration and insight to life transforming experiences. You want to get the most out of life. So it's not left with less. Today, we're talking about today. And today is the only thing that matters. Let's get into it. So I wanted to give you the thought about living for today. What does it really mean to live for today? To really focus on understanding the power of focus, the power of digital it's the power of discipline. Discipline comes in the form of making an action one step at a time repeatedly. There's an old adage is an old saying. That's like, how do you eat an elephant one bite at a time? People could see a big elephant and think why can't, it's dead is killed, ready to eat. But I don't know if I can eat that whole thing, but if you take one bite at a time, just focused on taking one bite. And when you take that one bite. Then you just prepare for the next bite. It's the same thing with hitting any goal that you want in life. Anything that you want to do in life starts with you making the decision. To start with one. And living for today. It's all about living for today. There's another saying that's out there. That's I'm like yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Yesterday already happened. You can't change that. You can't do nothing about it. Tomorrow, we don't know what's going to happen. But what you do today will affect your tomorrow and who you are today. As a result of your past. I say that again, what you do today, all affect your tomorrow and who you are today. As a result of your past. How do you live for today? Number one. You get a routine. That's fitting to your lifestyle. You get a routine that's fitting to your lifestyle. We have routine as fitting to your lifestyle is going to be easier for you to be consistent. When you're doing things that you're passionate about. For example I like like my favorite form of workout is high intensity training because I'm so busy. I want to get a lot accomplished in a short amount of time. So I do compound workouts my compound and workout effort, even when I'm doing lifting. Allows me to work out the whole body. And a lower amount of time versus, We're spending one to two hours in the gym, focusing on legs and focusing on arms. Then focusing on, back and in chest, you. I do full body three or four times a week. With compounded workouts. So my whole body's getting the exercise that it needs. And and and I have fun with it. I have found workouts that are fun to me. And so I can get up excited at 5:00 AM, 5:30 AM in the morning and being in what I call my 5:00 AM club. Where I can get up. Get my day started before my kids are woken up. Before the work day begins. And that's just part of my whole routine. And then my diet. It consists of primarily meat, fruits, and veggies. And so I've found simple things I like to eat and I cook it up. S the same different way. I mostly have ground beef, no chicken aches. And then I have various fruits and berries. And then, my leafy greens. And so those are like the simple things that I have. I, those are the main. Things I eat occasionally I'll branch out and do other things, other veggies, other fruit, but I got my main core in rotation. Those are the things that go in my smoothies. Those are the things that, make up my, snack time. And but it's something consistent. Sometimes I get bored and, after eating the same thing for two weeks, but. I'm seeing the results of that. I'm doing like the Bible in the air for my spirit, for my mindset, for my growth. And starting my day off with God, with prayer, with focusing we're meditating on the word of God, would reading the word and allowing that to navigate my life allows me to. I keep my foot grounded in the Lord, knowing that the day is going to be whatever it is. Starting off with God. That routine. Making a daily practice is I feel the difference. When I forget to pray if I'm running behind and after prayers, I go, if I don't have that respect the time where I'm not interrupted and I'm not feeling anything. Unnecessary. In that space and it's just me and God and his word. That really shifts my entire day. Now. Another thing that you need to do. Is understanding who you are. Are you living as your authentic self? Because it's easier to live as your authentic self. And it's even easier to build up to who you truly are meant to be. Are you living as your authentic self today? Are you really doing what you want to do for you? Are you living for somebody else? Are you becoming a person that they want you to be, or are you being the person that you want to be? Are you working the job that you want to work? Are you working a job that you know, is, can meet. For now. Are you eating and doing what you want to do? Listening to your body and finding something that's working for you, or are you doing it because your friends, your spouse. Your children, your parents, like our who's navigating your life. Who's pulling the puppet strings. Are you pulling your own puppet strings or somebody else doing it? We have to understand and decide that this day is all that matters when you woke up this morning. What's your mindset. How's your mindset for this day? Are you already giving up? Do you wake up giving up because you ended the day by yesterday. You got in a fight with your significant other or, the things didn't go your way at work. You heard yourself in a gym, something, that threw you off yesterday and you woke up today automatically down on yourself. You woke up automatically in a mindset of defeat. Are you going to allow that to navigate your life? Or are you going to say, okay. Yeah, that happened, but what am I going to do to win today? So my question for you guys is how are you going to win? Today. Your next meal is coming. For your next meal, or are you going to decide right now for your next meal? I'm going to eat healthy. I'm not going to eat bad. While you're listening to this. You could take the next five minutes to finish out this podcast episode. Doing squats and pushups. Why are you sitting here listening to me? Talk. Are you going to get your health in order? One decision at a time. One bite at a time. One day at a time is how you get there is the simplest concept. But it's the easiest thing to do today. I'm not going to get on social media because I know social media is toxic. So I'm going to decide not to binge watch or. I'm going to post and get off post and get off you reach for your phone right now. I'm gonna make my post, make my comment, and then put my phone back down. Oh, let me pull out my Bible app. Let me read a one verse right now. You can do that right now. Make the decision. Try it, test it out right now. Go to your phone right now. Google or your Bible app, do it, literally do it right now. Literally as you're listening to this podcast. Discipline yourself, show yourself that you can make a decision in the moment right now. A good decision for you. So do this right now. Pull up your Bible app, grab your closest Bible, or just go to Google. Find scripture of the day. Or just go to any scripture. And read that scripture. I'm going to go silent for one minute. So we can read that scripture. Together. No. What does that so hard? Now you can make that same decision. When you're picking your next meal. Oh, let me go grab some seafood. Let me go grab stuff to make a salad. Let me go grab something that's going to give my body energy is going to give me clarity because our diet is one of the key, most important things. Y'all. And one thing I want y'all to get clarity on is stop calling it a diet. I call it a lifestyle. We call it a diet. It makes it seem like we're doing something special. When is what we're supposed to do. We're supposed to eat, right? We're supposed to eat healthy. We plus eat clean. It's not a diet is how it's supposed to be. We're not supposed to be eating processed foods. We're not supposed to be in this manmade stuff. We're not supposed to be eating. Plant-based is good. We eat implants. When you're eating fruits and veggies. Now, when you eat in this chemically made. Meet pro fake meat pro you said no processed food, but you even processed the vegan meals of. Beyond me and all that other stuff, that's not for you. I eat real beets, eat real veggies, eat real carrots and leafy greens to do that stuff. Eat right. Because our emotions are affected by what we eat. Eat a lot of sugary stuff or more prone to depression. And feeling down and weighty. And when we do that, the toxicity fails and floods our body. And then we have chronic illnesses. Because of what we eat. And because of how we feel. You can break out in hives because of stress. You can get headaches. Because of depression. You can have joint pains. These different things come. As a result. Of what you eat. You put in your body, which is high sugars. A lot of these things are just sugars in the area. You eat too much sugar, you add sugar and necessarily to your food. To your coffee. Do you cereal? Too, you're you eat a whole bunch of sweets. You love dessert. You skipped the veggies for dinner, but then you go cross some desert. All those servers are added up in your body to get locked into certain areas. That's why I have arthritis. That's why blood pressure, all these different things are result. Of what you decide to do today. Now to change your life. Again, in order for you to get to finish that full elephant. That transformative experience, that new person, that new lifestyle started with that one bite. So no sugar today. Make that decision today. And then when tomorrow comes. No sugar. Depending on your diet, no carbs, no meat. That's the dye you're doing. No. Red meat. No pasta, whatever diet you're picking. And I said, not die, but whatever foods, choices that you decide for your lifestyle. Decided today. One meal at a time you got breakfast. Then you got lunch. You don't even have to do dinner. You can do one big meal a day. You can do intermittent fasting. You can do two meals a day and be fine. You could do one big meal a day and then have water, tea and coffee for the rest of the day. You don't have to do the structure of eating big three meals a day, three course meals. That's another ploy. One. Cost you money. Two. It forces you to eat more than you need to three. You might be adding things unnecessarily. You got to let your body work the rotation out. Intimate or fast. Eat clean. Eat twice a day. From noon to six. And then let the rest of your body lets the rest of the day. We figure it out. You can do that. Those small decisions daily. Pile up over time. It's like investing. You transfer$5 a day a week into your investment account. Over time, it's going to pile up, you're going to have,$5 a day for a month. You're looking at.
Microphone (3- ME6S)-1:You're looking at.$150 a month. And then from there. You're looking at. And that's not even what the interest in investment. After a while. That$150 a month. Becomes. About,$2,000 on the year. And then from there it's just piling up and then also you're factoring. The compounded interest on top of your investment. It's the same thing. With your body. That compounded interest on your investment. First you feeling good. And then in your face, you can see the glow. You can see the transformation, you could see the difference. But then your body, you see the body, see the definition, you see the cuts and then you see the hair looking more full, more clean. More youthful. You see the mindset shift, you see everything changing and rotating for your benefit. And it takes that personal investment. So I encourage you guys to live for today. Be in the moment. Be in the moment fully, fully enjoy you. What the time for you fully enjoy those around you when you're having that time. Get into it. Be who you're meant to be. Get totally invested in who you are. Stay locked in. Live in. The moment.
